Angie Homoelle, Caregiver Assistance Network Coordinator

Angie Homoelle has over 20 years of caregiving experience, as a professional, volunteer and family caregiver. Since 2016 she has coordinated the Caregiver Assistance Network (CAN), a program of Catholic Charities Southwestern Ohio. Angie and her dedicated volunteers empower family caregivers to find the balance and resources they need to take care of themselves through support groups, educational events, retreats and self-care classes. Angie grew up in Cincinnati and still lives on the West side with her husband and 2 of their 4 children.

Nearly one out of every three people in the United States are caring for a chronically ill, disabled or aging family member or friend. Many of them seek education and resource information on how to manage the care of their family members and loved ones. They may also need to learn how to take care of themselves and avoid isolation, burn-out or illness. As importantly, care partners desire to maintain loving relationships with their family members and friends. We Serve care partners through support groups, retreats and referrals. We Engage care partners, extended family and the community through educational workshops, outreach teams and participation in community events. We Empower care partners through positively oriented support groups and evidence based, self-care classes.
